“Global ICT Summit 2012” to be Held
The Ministry of Internal Affair and Communications (MIC) and Nikkei Inc. will hold “Global ICT Summit 2012: New Economic Growth Strategy led by Smart Revolution” on June 11 (Mon) and 12 (Tue), 2012.
1.Outline
The movement of transforming business activities and lifestyle utilizing ICT has been expanding in various areas. The appearance of cloud computing technology, etc. has made it possible to store and use a large amount of information as “big data” and promoted innovation of services and streamlining of economic activities. In addition, the appearance of smart phones and social media whose spread is progressing at a rapid pace is about to change the form of human communications to a significant extent.
In view of these circumstances, the MIC and Nikkei Inc. will hold an international conference titled “Global ICT Summit 2012: New Economic Growth Strategy led by Smart Revolution” with the participation of Japanese and foreign government officials and business entrepreneurs who are responsible for the area of ICT in order to deliberate on the trends of ICT technology also called as smart revolution and new economic growth strategies led by it.

(2) Application method You may make an application by fill-in necessary information on the website of “Global ICT Summit 2012” (http://www.ict-summit.jp/) (Deadline: May 30 (Wed), 2012, 17:00). In the case where applications over the capacity are made, the audiences will be chosen by lot and registration sheet will be sent to 600 persons by each session (the morning session and the afternoon session will be held in both days).
