Decision on Third Issue of “Project to Regenerate and Reinforce Regional ICT Bonds” in Great East Japan Earthquake Reconstruction Measures (Covering Designated Cities, Towns and Villages in Fukushima Prefecture)

  From December 22 (Thu), 2011 to February 29 (Wed), 2012, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) received applications for “Project to Regenerate and Reinforce Regional ICT Bonds”. The MIC has made the third decision on issue concerning projects applied and they are officially announced herein.

1.Outline

(1) Targets in this project
  Cities, towns and villages (including special district authorities and wide area unions of which these cities, towns and villages are members; hereinafter “designated cities, towns and villages”) designated by the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications based on the provision of Article 3, Paragraph 1 of the Law for Special Cases of Refugee-related Paperwork and Measures relating to People Moving Home in Dealing with Disaster caused by Nuclear Power Plant Accident in the Great East Japan Earthquake (hereinafter “Law for Special Cases relating to Nuclear Power Plant Evacuees”), as well as related bodies including them.
(2) Subsidized project
  This project subsidizes projects relating to the construction of information and communication environments required for the provision of administrative information to refugees, etc. so as to maintain bonds between refugees, etc. and cities, towns and villages accepting these citizens, as well as generating a sense of unity for these citizens.
(3) Period for application
  December 22 (Thu), 2011 to February 29 (Wed), 2012
 

2.Result

  The third decision on issue was made with respect to the following one project.
