“Tokai Regional Panel Discussion for Commission on Town Development utilizing ICT and Global Expansion” to be held
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has held “Commission on Town Development utilizing ICT and Global Expansion” from December 2011. The fifth meeting of the regional panel discussion will be held in Tokai where opinions are exchanged with parties concerned of regional town development in order to reflect their comments in deliberations at the Commission.
1.Background
The MIC has held “Commission on Town Development utilizing ICT and Global Expansion convened by the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications from December 2011 in order to deliberate on the state of new town development utilizing ICT, measures for promotion toward its realization and for global expansion of new town development models utilizing ICT with a view to develop new cities utilizing ICT.
It is planned that the regional panel discussion will be held in about five places nationwide to reflect comments of parties concerned of town development such as local residents, local business communities and municipality, etc. that play an important role in regional town development in deliberations at the Commission through opinions exchanges with them.
The MIC has decided to hold the fifth meeting of the regional panel discussion in Tokai and it is officially announced herein.
