Outline of survey
- Communications and Broadcasting Industry Survey The Communications and Broadcasting Industry Survey has been conducted since April 1995 by means of questionnaires on sales outlook, etc. (answered by delivery of questionnaire sheets, FAX or input through the Internet) with a view to flexibly grasp management trends of the communications and broadcasting industry (telecommunications business and broadcasting business). This is the only survey to grasp sales outlook, etc. of the communications and broadcasting industry.
- Method of selecting subjects of survey The number of survey samples is set to be about 160 companies so that the survey becomes statistically significant based on the results of the 2010 Information and Communications Basic Survey and the number of specific samples by category of business is decided based on the sales share by category of business (telecommunications business, private broadcasting business, etc.). Subjects of survey by category of business are selected by dividing them into the complete group and the extracted group. Business operators whose sales are superior are completely extracted in the case of the complete group and business operators are randomly extracted from the remaining population in the case of the extracted group.
- Items to be surveyed Sales outlook, financing outlook and business outlook (4 times per year), etc.
