Specified base stations using frequencies between 773MHz and 803HMz
From April 17 to May 25, 2012, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) received applications for authorization of establishment plans for specified base stations for diffusion of 3.9G mobile communications systems (specified base stations using frequencies between 773MHz and 803MHz) and three applications were submitted.

- NTT DOCOMO, INC. (President: Ryuji Yamada)
- KDDI CORPORATION (President: Takashi Tanaka) / Okinawa Cellular Telephone Company (President: Hiroshi Kitagawa)
*The applications submitted by KDDI CORPORATION and Okinawa Cellular Telephone Company will be examined as one application based on the provision of Paragraph 10, Item (ii) of the Guidelines for Establishment of Specified Base Stations for Diffusion of 3.9G Mobile Communications Systems (MIC Public Notice No.513 of 2011), as they submitted their applications as regional partners.
The MIC will examine the applications received and authorize the establishment plans through inquiry to and report from the Radio Regulatory Council.
