Appeal for Opinions on Draft Public Notice Specifying Range of Available Frequencies, etc. as Specified Experimental Stations
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has decided to review the range of available frequencies, etc. as specified experimental stations based on Article 7, Item (v) of the Regulations for Enforcement of the Radio Act (Radio Regulatory Commission Rules No. 14 of 1950) and compiled a draft public notice. An appeal for opinions on this draft public notice will be held from May 30 (Wed) to June 28 (Thu), 2012.
1.Background
The Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications shall publicly notify frequencies, available areas, period etc. of specified experimental stations pursuant to the provision of Article 7, Item (v) of the Regulations for Enforcement of the Radio Act and the range of available frequencies, etc. has been officially notified from the first day of July every year since FY2004.
The range of available frequencies, etc. as specified experimental stations will be reviewed and a draft public notice was compiled. Therefore, the MIC will hold an appeal for opinions on the draft public notice.

*Submission of opinions by mail must also arrive by this date.
4.Submission method of opinions
This appeal for opinions will be posted in the column of “press release” on the MIC website (http://www.soumu.go.jp) and the column of “public comments” on the e-government portal (e-Gov) (http://www.e-gov.go.jp) and also distributed at counters of contact.
5.Future plans
The MIC will swiftly enact the public notice based on opinions submitted.
