Results of 2011 Communication Usage Trend Survey

  The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has compiled the results of the Communication Usage Trend Survey which investigates the state of usage of information and communications services in households and businesses at the end of 2011. Outline of survey

  The Communication Usage Trend Survey targets households (whole households and their individual members) and businesses, and has been conducted every year since 1990 (the business survey was added in 1993 and has been conducted every year since then excluding 1994, while the survey of household members has been conducted since 2001) as a general statistical survey based on the Statistics Act (Act No.53 of 2007). The household survey has been conducted in each prefecture since 2010.
