Official Announcement of Notification Content related to Objective Achievement Service of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone West Corporation

  Nippon Telegraph and Telephone West Corporation (President: Shinichi Otake, hereinafter “NTT West”) submitted the notification on its objective achievement service in line with the provision of Article 2, Paragraph 4, Item 1 of the Act Concerning Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, Etc. (Act No. 85 of 1984; hereinafter, the “NTT Act”) and its contents are officially announced herein.
 

1.Background

  According to the provision of Article 2, Paragraph 4, Item 1 of the NTT Act, in cases where NTT West intends to run any objective achievement service, it must in advance notify the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications of the matters that are provided for in ministerial ordinance of MIC.  
  Based on this provision, the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications has accepted the notification submitted by NTT West dated May 30, 2012 concerning the matters provided for in Article 1 of the Rules for Enforcement of the Act Concerning Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, Etc. (Ministerial Ordinance of MPT No. 23 of 1985, hereinafter the “Rules for Enforcement of the NTT Act)  
  On June 1, 2012, they are officially announced based on the provision of Article 2-3 of the Rules for Enforcement of the NTT Act.
 

2.Content of service described in notification

  Refer to Attachments (it excludes information which is deemed to cause harm to the rights, competitive position or other legitimate interests)
 

3.Date for commencement of service

  The notification states that NTT West will commence the service on June 6 (Wed), 2012.
