Official Announcement on Guides for Dissemination and Expansion of ASP, SaaS and Cloud

  The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has formulated “Guide for Data Governance in the Social Capital Field,” “Guide for Secondary Use of Ground Information,” “Guide for Provision of Traceability Service of Rice and Rice Processed Food by ASP, SaaS and Cloud” and “Guide for Cooperation of ASP and SaaS Business Operators” for the purpose of disseminating and expanding ASP, SasS and cloud services to different fields such as the social capital field in an appropriate manner by promoting the use and utilization of ICT, and they are officially announced herein.

1.Background

  The MIC has deliberated on the points to remember, etc. when ASP, SaaS and cloud services are used and provided for each field such as the social capital field at the “Conference on Promotion of ASP, SaaS and Cloud” jointly established with ASPIC (*1) for the purpose of disseminating and expanding ASP, SaaS and cloud and promoting their use in an appropriate manner.
  The following guides have been formulated based on the results of deliberations and they are officially announced herein. 
  
Guide for Data Governance in the Social Capital Field This guide compiles the matters to remember when ASP and SaaS business operators provide services such as accumulation and management (primary use) of social capital data (register) and its secondary use in the social capital field including roads, bridges, sewers, buildings, etc. from a viewpoint of promoting the use.
Guide for Secondary Use of Ground Information This guide compiles the matters to comply with and the matters to remember when ASP and SaaS business operators provide services such as “data management,” “provision of platforms” and “added-value services” based on ground information (boring data, etc.) of the government and local public bodies.
Guide for Provision of Traceability Service of Rice and Rice Processed Food by ASP, SaaS and Cloud This guide compiles a model for records and information for traceability management relating to the creation and conservation of trading records required by the Rice Traceability Act for ASP and SaaS business operators.
Guide for Cooperation of ASP and SaaS Business Operators This guide compiles the matters to remember among business operators and between business operators and users when several ASP and SaaS business operators cooperatively provide services as a guide for collaboration.
