Appeal for Opinions on “2011 Draft Assessment of State of Competition in the Telecommunications Business Field”

  The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has compiled “2011 Draft Assessment of State of Competition in the Telecommunications Business Field” and will hold an appeal for opinions on this draft assessment from July 18 (Wed) to August 16 (Thu), 2012.

1.Background

  The MIC has assessed the state of competition in the telecommunications business field since FY2003 and compiled “2011 Draft Assessment of State of Competition in the Telecommunications Business Field.” An appeal for opinions on this draft assessment will be held.
 

2.Guidelines for public appeal for opinions

  Subject of appeal for opinions: “2011 Draft Assessment of State of Competition in the Telecommunications Business Field”
  Deadline for submission of opinions: August 16 (Thu), 2012, must arrive by 5:00PM (submissions by mail must also arrive by this date).

  The subject of the appeal for opinions will be posted in the column of “press release” on the MIC website (http://www.soumu.go.jp) and the column of “public comments” on the e-government portal (e-Gov) (http://www.e-gov.go.jp) and also distributed at counters of contact.
 

3.Future plans

  The MIC will confirm assessment results based on results of the appeal for opinions.
