Official Announcement of Report from “Wireless LAN Business Research Society”

  The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has held the “Wireless LAN Business Research Society” (Chairperson: Hiroyuki Morikawa, Professor of Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, University of Tokyo) to sort out the current status of wireless LAN, extract and sort out issues concerning safe and secure use and dissemination of wireless LAN, and deliberated on necessary measures. A report was compiled at the 7th meeting held on July 10, 2012 and it is officially announced herein.

1.Background, etc.

  The MIC has held the “Wireless LAN Business Research Society” from March 2012 for the purpose of sorting out the current status of wireless LAN, extracting and sorting out issues concerning safe and secure use and dissemination of wireless LAN, and deliberating on necessary measures.
  A report was compiled at the 7th meeting held on July 10, 2012, and it is officially announced herein.
