The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) established the “Project Team for Survey and Examination on ICT Subsidies” (Leader: Nobuo Gohara, Advisor to the MIC) in May 2011 to prevent unnecessary national expenditures and drastically improve the system and use of subsidies related to info-communications system from a neutral and impartial viewpoint, as the actual state and problems of inappropriate budget execution were revealed in 2011 in adopted projects implemented mainly by NPOs among projects for subsidies related to ICT. The Project Team has made surveys and examined the state of execution of each project.
  A report on suggestions on improvement of the system and operation thereof and awareness-raising of employees was compiled and submitted to the Minster for Internal Affairs and Communications as a result of the surveys and examinations conducted by the Project Team. It is officially announced herein.
