Results of Appeal for Opinions on Draft Revise of Interconnection Tariff Relating to Category I Designated Telecommunications Facilities of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone East Corporation and Nippon Telegraph and Telephone West Corporation

Establishment of entry menu related to connection charges of subscriber optical fiber cable
  The Information and Communications and Posts Administrative Council received an inquiry concerning an “approval of revise of the interconnection tariff relating to category I designated telecommunications facilities of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone East Corporation and Nippon Telegraph and Telephone West Corporation (establishment of entry menu related to connection charges of subscriber optical fiber cable) from the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications on June 26 (Tue), 2012.
  An appeal for opinions on this draft revise of the interconnection tariff was held from June 27 (Wed) to July 26 (Thu), 2012, in response to which six opinions were submitted and they are officially announced herein.

1.Outline of draft change

  The interconnection tariff will be changed to establish connection charges, etc. related to main terminal lines of optical signals to which the multiyear tier charges are applied.
 

2.Guidelines for repeat appeal for opinions

  The opinions submitted will be posted in the column of “press release” on the MIC website (http://www.soumu.go.jp) and the column of “public comments” on the e-government portal (e-Gov) (http://www.e-gov.go.jp) and also provided for inspection at the General Affairs Division, Information and Communications Bureau, MIC (2nd Central Government Building 11F).
 

3.Future plans

  This draft revise will be investigated and deliberated based on opinions submitted and a report will be sent to the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications.
