Selection of Video Contents Projects on “Studies and Researches related to Overseas Expansion of Regional Contents by International Joint Production”

  In July, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) held a public appeal for video contents projects which are transmitted to other countries through contractors concerning “studies and researches related to overseas expansion of regional contents by international joint production.” The MIC has selected video contents projects subject to support from projects applied and they are officially announced herein.

1.Outline of project

  The MIC has implemented the “studies and researches related to overseas expansion of regional contents by international joint production” using the FY2012 budget.
  The “studies and researches related to overseas expansion of regional contents by international joint production” are a project in which regional broadcasters and program production companies jointly produce video contents with overseas broadcasters and create opportunities to continuously transmit these contents to the world through overseas broadcasters, thereby promoting efforts for overseas expansion of contents.
 

2.Outline of results

  A public appeal for video contents projects through contractors was held from July 10 (Tue) to July 27 (Fri), 2012, in response to which a total of 107 contents were submitted. The MIC has selected ten projects subject to support from the projects applied.
  With regard to the selected projects, video contents jointly produced will be broadcasted gradually in broadcasting time of overseas broadcasters with which video contents are jointly produced.
