
Official Announcement of “Interim Report from Investigative Commission for Promotion of Effective Use of Radio Spectrum” and Results of Appeal for Opinions
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) is opening the “Investigative Commission for Promotion of Effective Use of Radio Spectrum” (Chairman: Norihisa Doi, Professor of Research and Development Initiatives, Chuo University) in order to investigate various problems and specific policy for the effective use of radio spectrum.
An “Interim Report from the Investigative Commission for Promotion of Effective Use of Radio Spectrum” has been recently compiled, and it is officially announced herein.
In addition, an appeal for opinions on a “draft interim report” was held before compiling the interim report, and its results are officially announced herein.
1.Background
The MIC has been opening the “Investigative Commission for Promotion of Effective Use of Radio Spectrum” (hereinafter “Investigative Commission”) since April 11, 2012 to proceed with deliberations on various issues and specific policy for the effective use of radio spectrum.
The MIC held an appeal for opinions on the “draft interim report from the Investigative Commission for Promotion of Effective Use of Radio Spectrum” from July 6 to July 31, 2012, in response to which opinions from 165 persons were submitted. The interim report from the “Investigative Commission for Promotion of Effective Use of Radio Spectrum” has been compiled on the basis of the opinions submitted, etc., and it is officially announced herein.
The results of the appeal for opinions on the draft interim report are also officially announced herein.
