
Appeal for Opinions on Review of “Action Plan for Spectrum Reallocation”
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has reviewed the “Action Plan for Spectrum Reallocation (revised version of September 2011)” and created a “Draft Action Plan for Spectrum Reallocation (revised version of October 2012)” with a view to smoothly and steadily implement a specific reallocation of frequencies based on the assessment results (July, 2012) of the FY2011 Surveys on Actual Radio Spectrum Usage (targeting bandwidth lower than 770MHz).
An appeal for opinions on this draft action plan will be held from August 28 (Tue) to September 26 (Wed), 2012.
1.Background and purpose
The MIC has formulated the “Action Plan for Spectrum Reallocation” since FY2004 and revised and officially announced it every fiscal year with a view to show specific efforts for smoothly and steadily following up a specific reallocation of frequencies based on the assessment results of the Surveys on Actual Radio Spectrum Usage.
The MIC will review the “Action Plan for Spectrum Reallocation (revised version of September 2011)” based on the assessment results (July, 2012) of the FY2011 Surveys on Actual Radio Spectrum Usage (targeting bandwidth lower than 770MHz).

The Action Plan for Spectrum Reallocation will be reviewed based on the assessment results of the Surveys on Actual Radio Spectrum Usage conducted every fiscal year.
