ICT Innovation Forum 2012 to be Held

1.Purpose of the forum

  The MIC is strategically promoting R&D in the field of information and communications targeting at realization of innovation, to meet socio-economic needs. This forum aims to encourage emergence of pioneering innovation by the utilization of results of R&D, through introduction of the latest R&D trends in the field of information and communications and announcement by discourses and exhibitions of the results of fifty-seven R&D projects promoted by the MIC as “R&D of ICT priority technology*1” and “Strategic Information and Communications R&D Promotion Programme (SCOPE)*2.”
  *1 “R&D of ICT priority technology” refers to R&D whose theses are designated by MIC to be selectively promoted, which is implemented through consignments.
  *2 “SCOPE” is a competitive fund system for carrying out public appeals for R&D theses, where creative and novel R&D is implemented.
