Public Appeal for Proposals on FY2012 “Project to Promote ICT Town Development”
From September 6 to October 9, 2012, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will hold a public appeal for proposals on the “Project to Promote ICT Town Development” to realize an “ICT Smart Town” advance model shown in a report from the “Commission on ICT Town Development and Global Expansion.”
1.Outline of project
(1) Subjects of public appeal
Private corporations (corporations or non-profit organizations established based on acts), local public bodies, incorporated administrative agencies, universities, colleges of technology, etc, or consortiums made thereof
(2) Outline of project
This project is to carry out an experimental project for verifying new town development utilizing ICT on an entrustment basis with a view to realizing an “ICT smart town” advance model shown in the report from the “Commission on ICT Town Development and Global Expansion.”
2.Submission method of proposals
(1) Deadline for submission
October 9 (Tue), 2012, PM5:00 (must arrive by this time) (Submissions by mail must also arrive by this date)
(2) Method of submission of proposals
Please create a written proposal in accordance with the guidelines for public appeal and the guidelines for creation of written proposals, and bring it to the counter of the following division by hand or send it by mail.
3.Selection of candidate trustees
The MIC will select candidate trustees based on the results of assessments made by external experts, etc.
4.Future schedule
The rough schedule is as follows. However, it may subject to change due to such as the state of affairs in selection of candidate trustees.
Late October, 2012: Implementation of external assessments and selection of candidate trustees
November 2012: Consultations on terms and conditions of contract and conclusion of contract of entrustment
