The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) submitted an inquiry to the Radio Regulatory Council (Chairman: Tadaaki Maeda, Advisor to Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd.) concerning an authorization for certified broadcasting holding company applied by Nippon Television Network Corporation (Representative Director, President: Yoshio Okubo), and received on September 12, 2012 a report from the Council stating its approval is appropriate as inquired.
  In response to this report, the MIC will swiftly issue a certificate and grant an approval for succession of status as a licensee of television broadcasting station on September 12, 2012 accompanying the shift to a certified broadcasting holding company.
