
Results of Appeal for Opinions on Draft Institutional Improvement of 23GHz-band Radio Transmission System and Report from the Radio Regulatory Council
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) held an appeal for opinions on the draft institutional improvement of the 23GHz-band radio transmission system from July 21 (Sat) to August 20 (Mon), 2012, in response to which opinions were submitted from five parties. The opinions submitted and the MIC’s views thereon are officially announced herein.
On September 12, 2012, among the draft institutional improvement, an inquiry on draft ministerial ordinances, etc. for partial revision of the Ordinance Regulating Radio Equipment, etc. was submitted to the Radio Regulatory Council (Chairman: Tadaaki Maeda, Advisor to Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd.). In response to this, the MIC received a report stating its approval of the original plan.

The MIC has created the draft ministerial ordinances, etc. for institutional improvement of the 23GHz-band radio transmission system and held an appeal for opinions from July 21 (Sat) to August 20 (Mon), 2012.

3.Report from the Radio Regulatory Council
On September 12, 2012, an inquiry was submitted to the Radio Regulatory Council concerning the draft ministerial ordinance for partial revision of the Ordinance Regulating Radio Equipment and the Ordinance Concerning Technical Regulations Conformity Certification of Specified Radio Equipment and the draft notice for partial change of the Frequency Assignment Plan. In response to this, the MIC received a report stating its approval of the original plan.
4.Future plans
The MIC will swiftly revise the ministerial ordinances, etc. based on the opinions submitted and the report from the Radio Regulatory Council.
