Hearing of Opinions from Parties Concerned on “Technical Requirements for Upgrading of Radio Stations for Broadcasting Business”
For deliberation on “technical requirements for upgrading of radio stations for broadcasting business,” Department on Information and Communications Technology, Information and Communication Council has started the deliberation on October 9, 2012, and a report will be compiled by around January 2013.
An opportunity for parties concerned to state their opinions will be provided at the Broadcasting System Subcommittee, Department on Information and Communications Technology, Information and Communication Council to be held on December 12, 2012. If you wish to participate in the Subcommittee, please make an application in accordance with the following guidelines.
1.Parties concerned eligible for opinion statement
Any person of learning and experience or any person having knowledge concerning radio stations for broadcasting business of the 1.2GHz band (1240MHz-1300MHz) and the 2.3GHz band (2330MHz-2370MHz) among “technical requirements for upgrading of radio stations for broadcasting business” (No restrictions on nationality apply)
2.Method of statement of opinions
The statement of opinions shall be made in Japanese at the Broadcasting System Subcommittee, Department on Information and Communications Technology, Information and Communication Council to be held on December 12, 2012. In the case where it is difficult to make the statement of opinions at the Subcommittee on the day due to any inevitable reason, it is allowed to submit opinions in writing (only in Japanese).
3.Necessary procedures for making statement of opinions
If you wish to make the statement of opinions, please submit a document with your name (in the case of any legal person or organization (hereinafter “legal person, etc.”), name of the legal person, etc., name of its representative, and position and name of a person who makes the statement of opinions), your occupation (not required in the case of any legal person, etc.) as well as a gist of opinions to the following address in the item 4 by mail, FAX or E-mail no later than November 6 (Tue), 2012, 6:00PM. We hold the right to make necessary adjustments for reason of time for deliberation.
All costs required for making the statement of opinions shall be borne by persons who make the statement of opinions.
