Official Announcement of Results of Survey on Use of 2.5GHz-band Broadband Mobile Wireless Access (BWA) System

  As the Action Plan for Spectrum Reallocation (revised version of October 2012) by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) provides that frequency bands are planned to be expanded in the 2.5GHz band (2625~2655MHz) concerning the use of broadband mobile wireless access (BWA) system, a survey was conducted from October 26 to November 8, 2012 in order to grasp the needs for said frequency band. Its results are officially announced herein.

1.Parties who responded to the survey and outline of its results

  The following seventeen parties responded to the survey.

2.Future plans

  The survey results will be used as a reference to future investigations for the allocation of frequency bands.
