Appeal for Opinions on Draft Revision of Systems relating to Chief Telecommunications Engineers and Installation Technicians
Revision of examination fees and range of installation works carried out by installation technicians
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) created the draft partial revisions of Cabinet Order and ministerial ordinances in order to revise the examination fees and range of installation works carried out by installation technicians with regard to the systems relating to chief telecommunications engineers and installation technicians. In response to this, an appeal for opinions will be held from November 21 (Wed) to December 20 (Thu), 2012.
1.Background and outline of revision
An appeal for opinions on the draft revisions of Cabinet Order and ministerial ordinances described in 2(1) below will be held for institutional improvement such as the revision of fees for chief telecommunications engineer examination and installation technician examination and the revision of range of installation works carried out by installation engineers.

- Draft Cabinet Order for partial revision of the Cabinet Order for Enforcement of the Telecommunications Business Act (Cabinet Order No. 75 of 1985)
- Draft ministerial ordinance for partial revision of the Regulations for Chief Telecommunications Engineer (Ministerial Ordinance of MPT No. 27 of 1985)
- Draft ministerial ordinance for partial revision of Rules for Installation Technician (Ministerial Ordinance of MPT No. 28 of 1985)

December 20 (Thu), 2012 (submissions by mail must also arrive by this date)
3.Future plans
The MIC will swiftly make revisions based on opinions submitted and enforce revised laws from February 1, 2013 along with the implementation of FY2013 First Installation Technician Examination.
