Results of Appeal for Opinions on Draft Report from IP Network Facilities Subcommittee – Matters related to Measures for Safety and Reliability Corresponding to Switchover of Networks to IP

  The IP Network Facilities Subcommittee, Department on Information and Communications Technology, Information and Communications Council (Chief Investigator: Hitoshi Aida, Professor at the Graduate School of the University of Tokyo) compiled a draft report from the IP Network Facilities Subcommittee concerning the measures for safety and reliability corresponding to the switchover of networks to IP and held an appeal for opinions from October 12 (Fri) to November 12 (Mon), 2012.
  In response, six opinions were submitted. The opinions submitted and the Subcommittee’s views thereon were compiled at the IP Network Facilities Subcommittee held on November 20 (Tue), 2012, and they are officially announced herein.

2.Future plans

  A report will be made at the Department on Information and Communications Technology, Information and Communications Council to be held on November 28 (Thu), 2012.
