Approal of Change of Interconnection Tariff Relating to Category I Designated Telecommunications Facilities of NTT East and NTT West (Expansion of Number of interconnecting Carriers in IPv6 Internet Connection of NGN)

1. Outline of change

　　The number of interconnecting carriers that are allowed to connect using the IPoE system (native system, hereinafter “IPoE connections”), one of the connecting systems to provide Internet connection services using NGN IPv6 provided by NTT East and NTT West, has been restricted to three due to technical constraint at the beginning of the commencement of connections. However, as new technical measures were implemented, it has become possible to increase the maximum number of interconnecting carriers that offer IPoE connections. In response to this, the interconnection tariff will be modified with regard to the acceptance of applications for connection related to IPoE connections.

2. Future plans

　　The MIC approve this matter on December 18, 2012 based on this report and requests NTT East and West and three carriers that already provides IPoE connections to implement necessary measures.
