Appeal for Opinions on Draft Ministerial Ordinance for Partial Revision of Regulations for Enforcement of the Telecommunications Business Act and Rules for Reporting on Telecommunications Business
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will hold an appeal for opinions on a draft ministerial ordinance for partial revision of the Regulations for Enforcement of the Telecommunications Business Act (Ministerial Ordinance of MPT No. 25 of 1985) and the Rules for Reporting on Telecommunications Business (Ministerial Ordinance of MPT No. 46 of 1988) from December 21 (Fri), 2012 to January 21 (Mon), 2013.
1. Outline of revision
Necessary revisions will be made to the Regulations for Enforcement of the Telecommunications Business Act and the Rules for Reporting on Telecommunications Business in order to grasp the number of contracts, etc. corresponding to current changes of market environments.

The draft ministerial ordinance will be posted in the column of “press release” on the MIC website (http://www.soumu.go.jp) and the column of “public comments” on the e-government portal (e-Gov) (http://www.e-gov.go.jp) and also distributed at the counter of contact (Telecommunications Policy Division, Telecommunications Bureau, MIC (Central Gov’t Building No.2, 10F)).
3. Future plans
The MIC will immediately promulgate and enforce the draft ministerial ordinance based on opinions submitted.
