Appeal for Opinions on Revision of Ministerial Ordinances, etc. related to Introduction of Next-generation High-speed Wireless LAN
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has created a draft revision of ministerial ordinances, etc. relating to the Radio Act for the purpose of introducing next-generation high-speed wireless LAN.
An appeal for opinions on this draft revision will be held from December 29 (Sat), 2012 to January 28 (Mon), 2013.
1. Outline
Related ministerial ordinances, etc. will be revised by establishing technical requirements in the Ordinance Regulating Radio Equipment for the purpose of introducing “next-generation high-speed wireless LAN system” to the 5GHz-band as wireless LAN that is capable of transmitting information at an effective speed of 1Gbps.
