Appeal for Opinions on Draft Basic Plan for Research on Bioelectromagnetic Environment Implemented from FY2013

  Before a public appeal for proposals on a research on bioelectromagnetic environment implemented from FY2013 is held, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) compiled a draft basic plan to implement this study.
  An appeal for opinions on this draft basic plan will be held from January 9 (Wed) to February 8 (Fri), 2013.

1.Outline

  The MIC has implemented the research on biological effects of radio waves from FY1997 with a view to relieving the concern of the people about radio waves and constructing a society where people can use radio waves securely.
  Before this research is conducted, its content is scrutinized from the economic and technical viewpoints, and an external evaluation by third parties is implemented in order to ensure effectiveness, efficiency and transparency.
  Before the public appeal for proposals on this study is held, the draft basic plan describing the content of research theses, goals to be achieved, etc. was compiled.
  An appeal for opinions on this draft basic plan will be held.
 

2.Subject of the appeal for opinions

  An appeal for opinions on the draft basic plan for research theses that will be newly implemented from FY2013 will be held.
 

3.Guidelines for the appeal for opinions

  The subject of the appeal for opinions will be posted in the column of “press release” on the MIC website (http://www.soumu.go.jp) and the column of “public comments” on the e-government portal (e-Gov) (http://www.e-gov.go.jp).
 

4.Future plans

  A basic plan will be formulated based on opinions submitted and the public appeal for proposals will be held swiftly.
