Appeal for Opinions on Draft Major Items to be Deliberated at “ICT Super-Aging Society Design Council”

  The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has held the “ICT Super-Aging Society Design Council” (Chairman: Hiroshi Komiyama, Chairman of the Institute of Mitsubishi Research Institute, Inc.) in order to deliberate on measures for utilization of ICT (information and communications technology) contributing to the solution of various issues caused by the super-aging society. 
  An appeal for opinions on “draft major items to be deliberated “ compiling basic views and specific items to be deliberated in bringing forward deliberations in the future will be held from January 23 (Wed) to February 13 (Wed), 2013 with a view to contributing to considerations at the Council.
   

1.Background

  The MIC has held the “ICT Super-Aging Society Design Council” (hereinafter “ Council”) from December 7 (Fri), 2012 in order to deliberate on measures for promoting the use of ICT in the super-aging society toward the solution of policy issues caused by the super-aging society such as decrease in productive age population and increase in social security benefits and the creation of new industries.
  An appeal for opinions on basic views in bringing forward deliberations in the future, specific items to be deliberated, and proposals on specific measures for use of ICT corresponding to the super-aging society will be held with a view to contributing to considerations at the Council.
   

2.Deadline for submission of opinions

  February 13 (Wed), 2013, 5:00PM (submission by mail must also arrive by this date)
 

3.Guidelines for the appeal for opinions

  The guidelines for this appeal for opinions will be posted in the column of “press release” on the MIC website (http://www.soumu.go.jp) and the column of “public comments” on the e-government portal (e-Gov) (http://www.e-gov.go.jp) and distributed at counters of contact.
