Appeal for Opinions on Draft Change of Interconnection Tariff Relating to Category I Designated Telecommunications Facilities of NTT East and NTT West (Revision of Interconnection Charges related to Subscriber Optical Fiber for FY2013(Amendment))
On January 29, 2013, the Information and Communications and Posts Administrative Council received from the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications an inquiry concerning “approval of change of interconnection tariff relating to category I designated telecommunications facilities of NTT East and NTT West” (revision of interconnection charges related to subscriber optical fiber for FY2013 (amendment)).
An appeal for opinions on this draft change will be held from January 30 (Wed) to February 20 (Wed), 2013.
1.Outline
The interconnection tariff will be changed for setting (amending) the interconnection charges of the transmission function of optical signal terminal lines for FY2013.
2.Guidelines
Subjects of the appeal for opinions: “Draft partial revision of the agreement clauses concerning connection with category I designated telecommunications facilities based on Article 33, Paragraph 2 of the Telecommunications Business Act” and “Relationship between interconnection charges and customer charges”
Deadline: February 20 (Wed), 2013, 5:00PM (submission by mail must also arrive by this date)
The subjects of this appeal for opinions will be posted in the column of “press release” on the MIC website (http://www.soumu.go.jp) and the column of “public comments” on the e-government portal (e-Gov) (http://www.e-gov.go.jp) and also distributed for reading at the General Affairs Division, Information and Communications Bureau, MIC (Central Gov’t Building No.2 11F).
3.Future plans
A repeat appeal for opinions on opinions submitted will be held with regard to said draft change and investigations and deliberations will be made based on results thereof. Then, a report will be submitted to the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications.
