Results of survey on status of information security measures

The MPHPT released today the results of a survey concerning the implementation status of information security measures among private sector corporations. The survey was conducted among corporations listed on the first and second sections of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, as well as other organizations, and results showed that although the implementation of devices such as firewalls and anti-virus software is at a high level and equivalent to that in the United States, the use of other measures such as intrusion detection system (IDS) is at a fairly low level when compared to the United States.
