The MPHPT has made a decision to grant Yamoto-cho, in Miyagi Prefecture,
a subsidy for the project of setting up a center for IT Life Enrichment
and Contact Support for fiscal year 2002. The outline of the project
is as follows.
1. Project Outline
By setting up a Center for IT Life Enrichment and Contact Support
(temporary name) which will provide a barrier-free environment that
is very well suited to the elderly and the physically challenged,
Yamoto-cho will increase their opportunities to participate in society,
making it possible for the elderly and physically challenged to
seek work, create a richer life and expand their social contacts.
2. Facility Outline
Facility Name: Center for IT Life Enrichment and Contact Support
(Temporary name)
Project Organizer: Yamoto-cho, Miyagi Prefecture
Planned Opening: April 2003
Total Project Cost: Approximately 252 million yen (Subsidy amount:
Approximately 84 million yen)
