Designated frequency change support agency appointed



The MPHPT today submitted an inquiry to the Radio Regulatory Council (chaired by YASUDA Yasuhiko, Waseda University) with regard to the appointment of a designated frequency change support agency, which had been applied for by the Association of Radio Industry and Businesses (ARIB, chaired by NASU Shoh), and received a report stating that this would be appropriate. The appointment of ARIB will be made on the day of the official announcement.

This appointment pertains to the support business for analog frequency change in relation to the main stations of the terrestrial digital television broadcasting stations to be put in place in areas other than the three large metropolitan areas (Tottori Prefecture, Shimane Prefecture, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Fukuoka Prefecture, Saga Prefecture, Nagano Prefecture, and Kumamoto Prefecture).
