MPHPT announces results of invitation to comments on draft ministerial ordinance for partial amendment of regulations for radio operators

The MPHPT today received a report from the Radio Regulatory Council (chaired by Prof. YASUDA Yasuhiko, Waseda University) concerning a draft ministerial ordinance for the partial amendment of the regulations for radio operators (1990, Ministerial ordinance No. 18, MPT), the regulations necessary for the reduction in volume of the documentation attached to applications for radio operator licenses. The council report deemed the draft appropriate.

The MPHPT invited comments from December 10, 2003 until January 9, 2004, concerning the draft ministerial ordinance about which the report was received today. Two comments were received that agreed with the draft, and there were no comments in opposition.

The MPHPT will take the report and comments concerning this matter into consideration, and plans to enact the amended ministerial ordinance promptly.
