MPHPT approves provisional license for satellite broadcasting station to JSAT Corp.



The MPHPT today submitted an inquiry to the Radio Regulatory Council (chaired by Prof. YASUDA Yasuhiko, Waseda University) concerning the satellite broadcasting station (high-definition television broadcasting) for which there had been application by JSAT Corporation (President and CEO, ISOZAKI Kiyoshi), a programming operator of CS digital broadcasts at 110 degrees of east longitude. The council's report stated that granting a provisional license, as per the inquiry, was appropriate.
