MPHPT invites comments on draft report concerning technical conditions related to the function of providing location information on callers sending emergency messages from cell phones



The MPHPT set up in November of 2003 the Committee for the Advancement of Emergency Message Systems (chaired by Prof. DOI Norihisa, Chuo University) under the Information and Communications Technology Sub-Council of the Telecommunications Council. The committee investigated technical conditions related to the function of providing location information on callers sending emergency messages from cell phones and has recently compiled a draft report concerning these technical conditions.

The MPHPT invites comments concerning this draft report until June 14.
