MIC invites comments concerning draft concrete plans for calculating spectrum usage fees




The MIC set up the Study Group on Policies Concerning Effective Radio Spectrum Use (chaired by Prof. TAGAYA Kazuteru, Chiba University) in January 2003. This study group has been investigating measures for effective radio spectrum use, from the point of view of promotion of the IT revolution, so as to respond quickly and accurately to new radio spectrum needs, and announced on October 1, 2004, the final report from the Study Group on Policies Concerning Effective Radio Spectrum Use which it had compiled.

Recently, the MIC has compiled draft concrete plans for calculating spectrum user fees, based on the final report, and invites comments from the public, in Japanese, from November 8 until November 26, 2004.

The MIC will take into consideration the comments that are received from the public concerning the draft concrete plans, and plans to continue its investigation energetically.
