MIC, in order to deal with a possible shortage of telecommunications numbers due to changes in the environment surrounding fixed line phone service, as well as to examine the accepted role of the telecommunications numbers in consideration of the recent advancements in IP technologies, etc, has set up a Study Group on Telecommunications Numbers in the IT Era."
Issues to be examined:
(1) Implement study on demand for fixed line phone numbers and consider specific actions to be taken for possible shortage of telecommunications numbers
(2) Examine telecommunication number issues, such as that of fixed line phone numbers in consideration of the recent advancements in IP technologies.
(3) Other
Timeframe:
The study group will be set up from December 22 (Wed.) 2004, and results of their findings will be finalized in November 2005.
