The MIC set up a sub-group on the Spectrum User Fee System, under the Study Group on Policies for Effective Radio Spectrum Use (chaired by Prof. TAGAYA Kazuteru, Chiba University) in January 2003. This study group has been conducting its investigation ahead of a revision of the spectrum user fee system.

The MIC implemented an invitation to comment from November 8 until 26, 2004 concerning draft Concrete Plans for Calculating Spectrum User Fee. The MIC is now announcing the outline of the comments that were submitted, as well as its own opinion concerning these comments.
