MIC Receives Applications for Attestation of "Establishment Plan" Pursuant to the "Establishment Guidelines for the Specified Base Stations"
-- New Cellular Telephone Companies Using 1.7 GHzgigahertz or 2 GHzgigahertz Bands --

Pursuant to the "Establishment Guidelines for the Specified Base Stations," MIC received three applications (each from a different company) for attestation of "Establishment Plans" during the period that began on August 22 and ended as of September 30, 2005. The three companies that sent in the applications are planning to establish specified base stations for cellular telephone services using 1.7 GHzgigahertz or 2 GHzgigahertz bands. The names and the company representatives of these three companies as well as the frequency bands to be allocated are as below:


* 1.7 GHzgigahertz band (covering all of Japan)
BB Mobile Corp. (President and CEO: SON Masayoshi)
eMobile Ltd. (Chairman and CEO: SEMMOTO Sachio)
* 2 GHzgigahertz band (TDD)
IPMobile Inc. (CEO and President SUGIMURA Itsuo)
