Public Comments on Partial Amendment to the Examination Standards Relating to the Radio Law
-- For Prevention of Interference with Radio Astronomy and for Expansion of Use of Customer-Owned and Maintained Wireless Communications Systems --

During August 26 through September 26, 2005, MIC invited public comments on a draft Instruction to amend the "Examination Standards Relating to the Radio Law (MIC Instruction No. 67 of January 6, 2001)" with purposes of i) preventing interference with radio astronomy being associated with the revision of the spurious standards and ii) expanding the use of customer-owned and maintained wireless communications systems.
As a result, MIC received eight public comments only on the expansion of the use of customer-owned and maintained (COAM) wireless communications systems. MIC will, taking into account those comments, amend the "Examination Standards Relating to the Radio Law" without delay.
