During the period from October 25 through November 24, 2005, MIC invited public comments on the "Draft MIC Notice to Amend Part of MIC Notice Specifying Testing Methods, Etc. Concerning Type Approval of Radio Equipment (comparison table on differences between new and old MIC Notices)," associated with the amendments to the Technical Regulations pertaining to the allowance for strengths of spurious emission from radio equipment. Since MIC did not receive any comment thereon during the period, MIC will promulgate and enforce the MIC Notice as proposed, without delay.
With regard to the Technical Regulations, etc. pertaining to the allowance for strengths of spurious emission from radio equipment, the "Rules for Regulating Radio Equipment (Radio Regulatory Commission Rules No. 18 of 1950)," the "Rules for Type Approval of Radio Equipment (Ministerial Ordinance of MPT No. 40 of 1961)," etc. were amended and came into force as from December 1, 2005. In line with those amendments, pursuant to the provisions of Article 4 of the "Rules for Type Approval of Radio Equipment," MIC is to amend part of the "MIC Notice Specifying Testing Methods, Etc. Concerning Type Approval of Radio Equipment (MIC Notice No. 246 of 1999)."
