"Information and Communications in Japan" has been published by the MIC every year since 1973 in order to gain the people's understanding of the current situation concerning information and communications in Japan and the trend of information and communications policies. The document counts this year's issue as its 34th.
This year's white paper features "Ubiquitous Economy," and studies and analyzes the impact of the development of ubiquitous networks-that allow "anything and anyone" to easily access networks and freely transmit information "from anywhere at any time"-on Japan's social and economic systems (see the "White Paper 2006 Information and Communications in Japan PR Materials for Overseas Press").
