Support for Local Public Entities in ICT Infrastructure Preparation Tailored to Regional Characteristics with FY2006 Budget
-- Decision of "Subsidies for Promotion of Regional ICT Infrastructure Preparation" --


In order to take specific measures for implementing the "Development of network infrastructure, without no digital divide, which anyone using any product can connect to and from anywhere at anytime" under the "New IT Reform Strategy" (Decision of the IT Strategic Headquarters of January 19, 2006), MIC has been promoting effective and flexible regional ICT infrastructure preparation. In line with the Strategy, MIC has been supporting the necessary development of facilities, such as cable TV systems, ADSL and FWA systems, for narrowing the digital divide between regions.
To this end, MIC has decided to subsidize the following local public entity for promotion of the "ICT Infrastructure Preparation Tailored to Regional Characteristics with FY2006 Budget."
