Hearing to Be Held with Experts on Technical Requirements for Radio Equipment for Advanced Aviation Surveillance Systems and Advanced Aeronautical Wireless Phone Systems

On April 26, 2007, from among the technical issues on aeronautical radio communications, the Telecommunications Technology Sub-Council of the Telecommunications Council began deliberations on the technical requirements for radio equipment for advanced aviation surveillance systems and advanced aeronautical wireless phone systems. Concerning the radio equipment technical requirements for advanced aviation surveillance systems, the sub-council plans to compile its report on ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast) technical requirements by September 2007.

The Aeronautical Radio Communications Committee under the Telecommunications Technology Sub-Council of the Telecommunications Council will hold a hearing with experts at its meeting on Wednesday, July 18, 2007.
