ICT Productivity Acceleration Program Released

In April 2007, the Panel on ICT International Competitiveness (Chair: Professor Emeritus SAITO Tadao, the University of Tokyo) compiled its final report. In response, MIC has developed the ICT Productivity Acceleration Program, which is a comprehensive package of policies for Japanese economic growth and improved productivity, and thus releases it.

[Background]
The Panel on ICT International Competitiveness compiled its final report in April 2007. In response, MIC releases the ICT Productivity Acceleration Program that it has developed as a comprehensive package of policies for Japanese economic growth and improved productivity, including policies on development of a general code structure and common ICT infrastructure, development of the RFID usage environment that optimizes network characteristics, and promotion and penetration of ASP/SaaS.

MIC will make efforts for Japanese economic growth and improved productivity by steadily implementing this program and strengthening cooperation between the public and private sectors.
