From August 10 to September 10, 2007, MIC invited public comment on the draft report compiled by the Study Group on the Accounting System in Telecommunications Service (Chair: Prof. TOKAI Mikio, Aoyama Gakuin University). MIC is now disclosing the eight comments received.
1. Background
MIC has held the meetings of the Study Group on the Accounting System in Telecommunications Service since November 2006 to study interconnection accounting, as well as accounting for telecommunications business, that takes the advancing IP-based technology into account.
As the study group has compiled its draft report, MIC invited public comment thereon from August 10 to September 10, 2007, and received eight comments by the end of that period.
2. Future schedule
The study group will hold its ninth meeting in October of this year to finalize its report based on the contributed comments.
