Study Group on the Communications Platform to Meet

MIC will organize the Study Group on the Communications Platform to consider strengthening communications platform linkage tailored to the development of IP-based networks.

1. Background and purpose
With the development of broadband and IP-based networks, MIC organizes this study group to examine measures to strengthen the linkage of platform functions, such as authentication and billing, that are indispensable to smoothly distribute content and applications over broadband networks, and to sort out issues for improving the market environment for promoting the creation of a new business, and consider the direction of future policy.

2. Main considerations
(1) The roles that communications platform functions should play in a business model on broadband services
(2) Effects of creating a new business by strengthening the linkage of communications platform functions
(3) Measures toward stronger linkage of communications platform functions
(4) Others
