Authorization of Changes to Interconnection Tariffs concerning Category I Designated Telecommunications Facilities of NTT East

A new device combination added to the connection with optical line terminal (GE-PON) for optical fiber transmission service
On March 28, 2008, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) authorized changes to the interconnection tariffs concerning Category I designated telecommunications facilities of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone East Corporation (NTT East) as applied for by the company.

Background
NTT East is using the GE-PON optical line terminal for its optical fiber transmission service that is capable of coding transmission of up to 1 Gbps. In order to allow a new combination of devices in addition to existing methods for connecting optical transmission access to GE-PON, the interconnection tariffs will be changed pursuant to Article 33, paragraph (2) of the Telecommunications Business Law (Law No. 86 of 1984).
