Proposals Invited on Projects for Construction of Local Community Models through ICT Utilization/Telemedicine Model Projects

Aiming to solve various issues-such as the revitalization of local economies, the declining birthrate, and the aging of society-facing local communities, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) started projects in fiscal 2007 for construction of local community models. The local communities were entrusted with model projects to solve these issues by using ICT, and to promote the development of local ubiquitous networks through ICT utilization.

MIC now invites proposals on fiscal 2008 telemedicine projects.

Outline of the project

Municipalities, special wards, prefectures and their affiliated entities (including wide-area unions and partial unions)
(2) Details of the entrusted projects
Entrusted by MIC, each municipality will build a telemedicine model that solves local issues.
